Alpine cattle drive in Hopfgarten Austria
The Alpine cattle drive is a permanent fixture in Tyrolean customs and enjoys a long tradition. The animals are adorned with magnificent head-gear, consisting of ribbons and flowers; they are then taken down into the valley. This is the farmers way of giving thanks for an incident-free summer up on the Alpine pastures. Photo by James C. McDaniel III. You are welcome to share the link to James C.
