Gertelbach Waterfalls - May 2014

The Gertelbach originates in a source horizon between the lower red sandstone and granite Buhlertal - west of the Black Forest Road and ends after only 2.5 km in the (smaller) Wiedenbach . The creek overcomes approximately 330 meters. In the steepest section , about 800 m upstream of the mouth , the creek falls cascade 220 feet deep in many cases levels of up to 7 m high .
