On the way home from Austin Texas last weekend, we traveled the back roads and ended up passing through Wimberly Texas and were treated to a surprise art display of Cowboy boots. There are actually more than 50 artistically painted boots all over the town. The art project is termed "Bootiful" and was spearheaded by Lynn Myers and Wimberley art gallery owner Rob Pitzer. Each boot is about 6 feet tall and the theme design supports the local business it is displayed in front of.
We are always intrigued wandering the back roads of Texas. Here are a few photos of our weekend road trip. |
