The third leg of our Arctic Adventure, days 6, 7 and 8, take us to a working horse farm in Laksvatn Norway
On day 6 we headed off to our next location Laksvatn Norway. We picked a small apartment at Nord Hestnes Gaard, a working horse farm in Laksvatn (Laksvatn is not really a town, but area). The apartment was nice, but needed some repairs. If you stay here, you definitely need to buy groceries before you arrive, because the nearest store is about 30 km away. We arrived late and the owner was very nice, he gave us a dozen eggs from the farm, some butter and home made bread. So we didn't go hungry on the first afternoon.
It was an awesome place to view the Northern Lights. All you had to do was walk outside on the balcony, down to the waters edge or walk up the paths near the horses.
